New theme for Youtube Channel, small updates.

Posted on July 30, 2010 at 1:54 pm, by Roland - 1 Comment

Yesterday I finally decided to crack down and think of a theme for my Youtube Channel, since I had honestly become incredibly lazy with all of that and ended up hating the default ugliness that was my channel theme.

So, as with most of my graphics needs I turned to Toad to make everything seem more pleasing to the eye. Safe to say it was a success. So please, go check out his website, and of course his YouTube channel to see all of his content as well. Thanks again, and I hope you like the changes! Any suggestions and comments would be loved and taken into consideration.

His Channel is boxed on mine, so you can view it from there. :)

New HG/SS Pokemon Battles on Youtube! [UU]

Posted on July 30, 2010 at 1:43 pm, by Roland - No Comments

This was one of my first battles taken seriously in over a 15 months, and it was a ton of fun to start playing in the UU Tier, coming from an old OU player from the D/P days. Wasn’t a huge fan of the OU Platinum metagame.

Another good match, honestly. The criticals he had on three of my Pokemon really shook me up, though some of my luck made up for that, but I’d still say it was unbalanced in his favor (One Pokemon living at very low HP =/= Three Pokemon dying from useful crits). Luckily I pull out a victory in the end though, so good game!

Hope you enjoyed them! Probably more to come soon!

Happy HUGRDICK day to all!

…Or any who even know what the hell it is.

Today is a very momentous occasion. A day which marked the beginning of a period of anarchy and discontent, and many laughs on the Nintendo-Play site, which has now been unfortunately removed. It early in the morning on this day, summer 2008, when there were over four instances of people beginning to cyber, post inappropriate pictures, and generally make fools of themselves while a couple friends of mine from the site, Toad included were lurking and having a good time screen capping these many ventures.

I would post the majority of funny screen caps from the album, but I fear they contain language, content and are probably too funny to show in all fairness. :P

Just please be sure to enjoy your 5th of July, 2010.

New HUGRcast episode to be posted TONIGHT.

One Shall Stand

Hey everyone! I’m back after another long hiatus from actually updating this darn thing. A whole shit-ton of things have been going on lately, so I’ll try to update you as much as I can in this one epic post.

First order of business, is that I’ve been heavily enjoying my first few weeks or so of the Summer 2010 season, and and looking forward to spending the next two months with family, friends, and working on many assorted things which I’ll be posting on here! Many visits to the movies, a couple bonfires, and the late night festivities that go along with staying up late in a room bursting with technology. I can’t begin to describe how much I’ve needed this freedom.

For those of you who don’t know, many of my online achievements and site residencies can be attributed to my dear friend “Toad“, and we’ve recently started recording podcast episodes for any who decide to listen. We’ve had a few technical difficulties with shortening length in order to satisfy the storage requirements of our hosting provider, but we’re going to try and get our first full episode posted tomorrow, which is the day that we met, christened..HugrDick day. I hope you all intend to listen, we would both very much appreciate it.

Okay, so the MEAT of this post. Now for those of you who don’t know, I’m a huge and long-time fan of Transformers, and the majority of it’s continuities. June 22nd gave me one of the best shooter games I’ve ever had the privilege to put into my PS3. Transformers: War For Cybertron is a masterpiece of a shooter game for fans of the series. It’s literally brimming with nostalgic references and catchphrases coined in the original G1 Cartoon, and most of the designs are very heavily influenced by the cartoons original designs. Honestly, I can’t get over how much I’m enjoying this game. It’s easily the best TF game ever created (Though I must speak plainly, that isn’t saying a whole ton. xD) If you’re a fan of the shooter genre, I HIGHLY recommend picking it up.

I’ll fill in more details and give a better review later! Talk to you all soon. :)

Until then, in terms of War for Cybertron, I leave you with the amazing opening cinematic.

Homeless on the internet!

Posted on May 25, 2010 at 7:32 pm, by Roland - 2 Comments

I dunno about the rest of you, but for as long as I’ve been “internet savvy” so to speak, I’ve always had some sort of site or community I was associated with, that was essentially my home base, my stomping grounds. I hope that makes sense, haha. Just a site where you were actively involved, contributed, and felt part of a community and whatnot, something like that.

The main point of this post, is that of this summer, I honestly have lost the few communities that meant so much to me in the past, and in a sense, I feel somewhat homeless when it comes to the internet. Sure, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are sites that the majority of us probably visit, but there’s something way more enjoyable about meeting and interacting with numerous people outside of the totally anonymous, the closely related family and school friends, and so forth. After my main community of Total-Play fell away, and rapidly began a state of decay, I’m left with an empty feeling. Looks like summer presents it’s own challenges then.

Find another, or create your own.

Hope you all didn’t mind listening, just something I had on my chest. Thanks!

~Roland

Well, that was unexpected..

Seems I’m back on my feet once again after another stream of errors from x10hosting. There were database connection errors and whatnot, and I simply didn’t feel like dealing with all that stuff on my current domain. Hence, why I switched to the current exofire.net domain name, which hopefully I can replace this summer with my own domain.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I’ll be up and running at full speed again soon. (Have to redo most of my pages and whatnot, so it could take a while.)

Wish me luck!
